Je suis fini!
You know, there is something to be said for "stick-to-it-iveness". I told myself a couple of months ago that these projects that have been haunting my desk for the last year HAD to go. Now, I wasn't real hip on just ripping them out and moving on since the projects were so close to being done. After finishing the "Black Hole" capelet I mentioned a few posts ago I figured I was invincible. No black hole was going to suck anymore stitches or rows out of my hard work. And LOOK!!!!!!! I finished the "Black Hole" summer tee! I realize that summer is pretty much over, but see, I had started this LAST summer hoping that I could wear it THIS summer. If I hadn't given in to the black hole I would have worn it this summer. Oh, well. It's still hot here so I will get to wear it a few times before it gets too cold.
So, now I can start a few new projects! Yeah! I love new projects. That means new YARN! and I really love new yarn. Oh! and new knitting books!! I love new knitting books! In fact, in anticipation of finishing all of this I ordered a bunch of NEW stuff. I will "show and tell" when it gets here.
Happy Knitting!!

Oh, the t-shirt is so cute :) And I have to admire finish-itis. That binding off can feel so good!
Beautiful blue yarn! The T-shirt looks good, too!
I love the t-shirt! Wore it today (86 degrees in the shade). It was cool and comfortable (silk/wool blend of yarn). Chic, don't let that gorgeous blue fool you--the yarn is the scratchiest thing I have ever felt this side of steel wool. The color was actually an accident--too much wool and not a big enough dye pot. It turned out so good I will have to recreate that accident again--with better wool of course!
Ouch on the scratchy yarn bit!
You think you could felt the already-spun stuff into something?
Chic, the fiber was some that I was spinning for a customer. The fiber is from her "pet" sheep. She has made some beautiful stuff with the yarn I have spun for her in the past--apparently she has very thick skin because I certainly could not wear anything made with that yarn! :)
I'm on the Eastern slope, finishing up school. We may even be moving to Denver soon. Which side of the divide are you on?
That and you speak French!
Annie! I wondered if I would hear from you again--besides on the phone. You didn't know I spoke french? I used to speak it quite well, but here in our little Colorado town I don't get to use it much. The daughter is taking it in school this year and it's amazing how much I CAN remember still.
About the dog--can you imagine her in the back seat of my car!!LOL!!! It's an adventure.
Lovely t-shirt and I just adore that blue yarn. IT's stunning colour, it's a shame it's not as nice as it looks when it comes to softness.
