The area is called Mountain desert because of the elevation and dry weather. We can get down to 10 below zero in the winter and 110 degrees (F) in the summer. Gives plenty of variety!Tamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05058101514027870088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29072870.post-72561607529190665132007-05-11T01:17:00.000-06:002007-05-11T01:17:00.000-06:00Wow, you're a real mix aren't you. When I was in Colorado Springs we went to some 'Sons of Norway' events and there were lots older people there who'd left Norway as children and they loved speaking to us and hearing about Norway. Not sure exactly were Grand Junction is, although I do recognise the name.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29072870.post-34621090343119117602007-05-09T14:09:00.000-06:002007-05-09T14:09:00.000-06:00Hi! We moved here from Puyallup Washington about 9 years ago. I still get very homesick for WA. I am 1/4 Norwegian, 1/4 Danish, and the rest is a mix. My grandfather was Norwegian and liked to tease me by speaking in Norwegian to me all the time as a child. I would love to go and visit there some day.Tamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05058101514027870088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29072870.post-67582489059538554212007-05-08T09:44:00.000-06:002007-05-08T09:44:00.000-06:00Wow, they look fab. I'm Norwegian and I lived in Colorado Springs for a year (although that's nearly 20 years ago now). Where in Colorado do you live ? If you don't mind me asking.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
